And, I fixed a DNS error that I introduced when I moved my DNS hosting to name.com. I like using fuweb.com
instead of www.fuweb.com
(it’s shorter), so I usually set fuweb.com
for the A record and www.fuweb.com
for the CNAME record. During my Teambox installation trials, I noticed that www.fuweb.com
wasn’t being redirected appropriately. I added a .htaccess rewrite:
RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.fuweb\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://fuweb.com/$1 [R=301,L]
But to my surprise, nada. Went to the DNS record. Whoops. There it is. I accidentally mapped www.fuweb.com
as a CNAME to an IP. Dang. Fixed, now everything works.
