Been on service as pediatric ward attending recently, so haven’t had much time to let the nerd run wild.
- Businessweek: Why Samsung’s Galaxy Will Never Beat Apple’s iPhone – Olivier Wolf makes the point that better design, app quality, and simplicity of market segmentation are reasons that the iPhone will prevail. This was interesting to me because I have seen many (many) Samsung Galaxy S III phones at work recently, many more than new iPhone 5 devices. And the screen is absolutely beautiful. Of course, in aggregate, there are vastly more iPhones floating around than Android devices but still. Interesting. I am, as one might expect, fully locked into the iTunes ecology so there is no escape.
- Business Insider: Watch Out – Microsoft is about to make it more expensive to bring iPhones and iPads to work – Arcane, but given the proliferation of tablet devices in healthcare settings, can’t but think that this is a misguided revenue generating ploy.
